Helping Train Future Leaders in Healthcare

The goal of the program is to assist individuals from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds obtain preliminary training in the medical sciences. Selected individuals commit to a comprehensive multi year curriculum which will focus on clinical diagnosis and patient interview, community based health services research and medical ethics.
All students will receive lifelong mentoring and career counseling with the hopes that they will pursue careers in the medical sciences

Our goal is to provide hands on dedicated training for our students. Health care practitioners from various areas of medicine volunteer to work with us to provide a quality education for our students. In the video below, one of our students,a young man who relocated from Sudan, is taught by one our volunteer surgeons how to suture using an orange.

All of our students  are encouraged to particpate in clinical case simulations and biomedical research. The video below is a simulation performed in a simulated case of repiratory failure secondary to asthma.
